The Black Door Celebrates 5th Birthday in Style!

Knock knock open wide, see what’s on the other side! Dublin’s favourite celebrity hotspot, The Black Door Piano Bar at No. 58 Harcourt Street, celebrated its 5th birthday on Friday 23rd March, with some well-known faces stepping out to mark the occasion.

Musicians Andrew Mann and Greg French set the scene with some ambient live music, while partygoers sipped on custom cocktails and enjoyed a tasting feast from the venue’s wide-ranging menu of signature gourmet bites, which included Moroccan lamb meatballs with warm crumbed goats cheese and beetroot gel; mint infused crab and hake fish cakes; classic smoked salmon with pickle cucumber and Guinness bread along with house smoked pork belly popcorn and sticky onion marmalade.

Since opening its doors in 2013, The Black Door has secured its spot on the capital’s social scene as one of the city’s most sophisticated hangouts, hidden away behind a beautiful Georgian façade on Dublin’s vibrant Harcourt Street.

Mirroring the style of a 1930’s prohibition era speakeasy, Ireland’s best known performers can be found behind the ivory keys of a gilded baby grand piano for the perfect blend of live music and late night DJ guests. Serving classic cocktails, fine wine and a prestigious selection of premium champagnes this intimate live music lounge entertains guests from 5.00pm every Thursday and Friday, and from 8.00pm on Saturdays until the early hours.

The Black Door Piano Bar is part of the McGill family hospitality group which includes neighbouring Dtwo Nightclub, 1900 Bar & Restaurant, Harcourt Hotel, Harrington Hall and the newly opened four-star Iveagh Garden Hotel.
