Singer and model Nadia Forde made a welcome return home to Ireland to officially open the popular UK based Italian restaurant chain Prezzo in Dublin’s Liffey Valley Shopping Centre. Other guests on the night included blogger Rosie Connolly, 98FM’s Dara Quilty and Big Breakfast presenter, Steven Cooper, as well as model boss Jules Fallon and models Teodora Sutra and Irma Mali.

The stunning brunette returned to her Italian roots to sample some of the delicious pizzas, pastas, risottos, salads and meat treats on offer, along with a selection of Prezzo’s mouth-watering desserts. Guests sipped on Peroni and Prosecco, while enjoying a tasting feast of contemporary classics from the wide-ranging menu – which also presents lighter, gluten free and vegetarian options. Guitar duo Colarossi & Keogh set the scene, taking guests on a journey to the heart of Italy with some soothing and authentic Italian music.

Speaking at the event Nadia said: “I’m absolutely delighted about Prezzo coming to Ireland. It’s one of my favourite Italian haunts in the UK and I’m thrilled to be able to visit it now any time I’m home in Dublin. With my Italian heritage, it’s food I grew up eating and I love the wide-ranging menu, from salads to pastas to pizzas. It’s the perfect place for a date night or a long, overdue catch up with the girls.”

Prezzo – which presents Italian casual dining with a touch of class – is located beside Vue Cinema in Liffey Valley Shopping Centre and is the first restaurant of the Italian chain to open in Ireland, with the company actively seeking potential sites to expand across the country.

Executive Chef, Paul Lewis, said: “We’re thrilled to be bringing our menu to Ireland and giving guests the chance to sample our fantastic range of Italian cuisine. While we pride ourselves on the authentic classics, we also provide a more contemporary offering through all sections of the menu. For me the beauty in Italian cuisine is simply using the best ingredients, and at Prezzo we’ve travelled the length and breadth of Italy to source them! From our tomato sauce to our salsiccia picante pepperoni sausage only the finest ingredients make the cut!”

Prezzo currently operates over 220 restaurants in the UK, and has its own unique style and character, with a stunning modern interior that’s centered around an impressive wood-burning oven. Booths, larger tables and little corners provide the perfect place to go for date night with desserts to share, family get-togethers or just a catch up with friends, toasting the end of a long week.
