Irish designer Deborah Veale tips a nod to the 90s with her latest edit
Just some of the pieces making our AW19 wishlist: A 90s inspired slip dress in green and black shimmering velvet; pinstripe flannel strikes a perfect contrast with luxurious velvet in this look; add ladylike bling to outerwear with this funnel neck coat; a gold and black checkerboard skirt is worn here with a melton jacket with pleated eco leather sleeves.
We’ve fallen in love with the AW19 collection of elegant outerwear, divine dresses and sophisticated separates from The Label by designer Deborah Veale. Think lean sculpted easy silhouettes and softly structured easy-to-wear pieces in beautiful fabrics that are both timeless yet contemporary, and perfect for the professional woman.
For daywear, The Label presents form fitting jersey jackets with leather trims teamed with high-waisted jersey skirts, while velvet pinstripe jackets are paired with pinstripe flannel trousers for the ultimate in easy chic. Crisp white cotton shirts and silk velvet vest tops bring the looks together. For evening, the range offers ultra-flattering pencil dresses and 90s inspired slip dresses, while outerwear including edge-to-edge and belt-tie jackets and a gorgeous funnel neck 3/4 length tailored coat work for day and night.
Fabrics include stretch jersey, wool cashmere and soft wool pinstripe flannel, contrasted with iridescent textures of shimmering velvets, metallic knits, corded laces and lurex, with accents of eco leather and real leather trims, ornate gold buttons and fold highlights. While classic black dominates, jewel tones feature heavily, including gorgeous greens and rich navy with textured accents.

About Deborah Veale
Over the past decade, designer Deborah Veale has developed a very successful corporate wear business, DV Professional. Identifying a niche in the market, she began creating bespoke uniforms for a range of companies in the premium hospitality sector. Recent commissions include Ballyfin Demense, Adare Manor, The Shelbourne Hotel and The Spa at The Merrion Hotel. In 2016, Deborah re-launched her own designer range The Label, introducing capsule collections of limited edition coats, jackets, dresses, separates and evening wear.
