1949 Oldsmobile Chop Top with Flame Thrower and 1977 Ferrari Dino 308 GT4, two of many exciting cars added to auction catalogue
Calling all classic cars enthusiasts. Merlin Car Auctions in association with carshows.ie will tempt motor lovers with a stunning collection of 100 classic and vintage cars for auction along with an indoor autojumble on Sunday, 5th February 2017 in Merlin Car Auctions, Junction 10, Naas Road, Kildare with the viewing from 11am and auction at 1pm.
Cars added to the auction this week include the exciting 1949 Oldsmobile Chop Top 4 Door Conversion, a 1977 Ferrari Dino 308 GT4, Porsches, Mercedes, Jaguars and many more.
The 1949 Oldsmobile Chop Top 4 Door Conversion is for no shrinking violet as the restored and modernised classic includes a 350 Chevy turbo transmission, 8ft flame thrower kit twin pipes, twin tail gunner exhausts, remote undercar 112 point strobe lighting kit, undercar full pyrotechnics kit 8 point system, exterior stealth camera system front & rear with 7 inch visual monitor to view exterior, inlaid in centre console. The full polished metal interior is inlaid with aged Italian leather 4 single captain seats, strobe LED lighting and full surround sound interior system with USB and iPod connections and switch over to exterior marine sound system under wings.
Other gems in the catalogue are a stunning 1967 Mercedes 250SL LHD Convertible with just 87,955 miles on the clock with a guide price of in excess of €40,000 and a 1972 VW Kyote II Wagon. The Kyote II is one of only 150 made by Dean Jeffries with just 13,124 miles on the clock. While developing the Kyote II, Jeffries saw the opportunity to increase the usage of these buggies and move beyond just weekend recreational activities. As a result this magnificent machine can be driven in convertible, pick-up or wagon format and is similar to one driven by silver screen stars such as Steve McQueen, James Bond in Diamonds Are Forever, Jimi Hendrix and The Monkees.

The call for entries closes on Wednesday, 1st February and those entering cars are advised to do so as early as possible for the best opportunity to sell.

Doors will open for viewing from 11am on Sunday, 5th February with the auction starting at 1pm sharp. There will be a catalogue entry charge of €10 per person.
